Roxbury Action Program is established.

Founded by Lloyd King and George Morrison, its purpose is to “support the economic self-development of all community residents, especially those distressed and underprivileged.” The organization subsequently focuses on housing renewal in the Fort Hill and Highland Park areas of Roxbury.
